Rustam Minnikhanov submits documents to the Central Electoral Commission of Tatarstan to register as a candidate for Tatarstan President

On June 29, at the Central Election Commission (CEC) of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov submitted documents for registration as a candidate for the President of Tatarstan.

The staff of the CEC for the submission and inspection of documents verified their compliance with the list established by law and issued a written confirmation of receipt of the submitted documents.

On June 27, the majority of people’s deputies of the 32nd conference of Tatarstan regional branch of the United Russia party voted for the nomination of Rustam Minnikhanov as the candidate for the President of Tatarstan.

The election of Tatarstan President will take place on a Single Voting Day on September 13, 2020.
